
Global Mission Church Youth Orchestra's (GMCYO) beginning date backs to March 1998, when it began with just 13 very young musicians. Since then, GMCYO has been blessed and it has now frown to over 50 musicians.
GMCYO shares the same goals and purposes as that of other orchestra programs in the United States, which is to nurture the talents of young musicians in the orchestra. However, the primary mission of GMCYO is to go out globally to share God's love through our music and to glorify Him. GMCYO's motto, as one our musicians aptly said, "whenever and wherever God sends us, we pack up our instrument and there we go." True to its mission, GMCYO has traveled to perform at many places:

GMCYO musicians meet every Sunday for 1 1/2 hours of rehearsals which also includes snack time and 15 minutes of Q.T. Currently, GMCYO has two programs: Advanced and Prep Orchestra. The Advanced Orchestra is under the guidance of Ms. Michelle Cho. Parents are very involved through GMCYO PTA currently led by Mrs. Sungsoon Chung.
God and glorifying Him are the central focus of GMCYO, and all is invited to come join GMCYO. GMCYO is open to everyone and all are welcome.
