Audition Information

Auditions for new students will be held on the afternoon of Sunday, January 02 2011 at Global Mission Church.

Audition Requirements:

Each candidate is to prepare approximately 3 minutes of a solo piece or etude as well as the scale requirements listed below. Additionally, a short sight reading excerpt will be provided during the audition.

Memorize scale and arpeggio for each orchestra. Please note arpeggios are for strings only
All scales are to be played ascending and descending. Even and smooth scales in sixteenth note pattern at quarter = 72 for Winds, Brass and Percussions.
No. of octaves / scales, slurred two notes per bow at quarter=72.
3 octaves/ scales, slurred three notes per bow at quarter = 72 (for String Instrument)
